The 12th Annual Sylvester Cup between cross-town rivals Washburn and Southwest High Schools will take place Tuesday, October 1 at the Washburn Stadium. The night celebrates a beloved Minneapolis Soccer coach, John Sylvester, and one of his former players, Hallie Brown, both of whom passed away after long battles with illness.

Join us outside in the Washburn Stadium at 6:30 pm. You will get important information from coaches, meet other families on your team, organize carpools, pick up a yard sign for $10 and hear what to expect in the coming season. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

Team assignments have been communicated to players. Congratulations to the 2024 WHS soccer teams. Everyone had a great effort should be proud of their efforts. For those who did not make a team, we would love to help you find a space to continue in WHS athletics. We have spaces on our Cross Country running team and our Football team!
