And like the last match, the Millers hold a 2-0 edge over the Royals in competition. On Super Soccer Saturday this year, the Millers edged the Royals 3-1, propelled by Juan Louis’s hat trick.

Hopkins ended its regular season with a record of 8-7-2, losing its last regular season match to Eden Prairie 2-1 but drawing with Edina 1-1 in its next-to-last match. In matches against teams that the Millers have played this year, Hopkins is 2-1-1, having defeated Robbinsdale Cooper 3-0 and Mounds View 2-1, and losing to Edina 2-1 before drawing with the Hornets the following day. Hopkins defeated St. Louis Park 2-0 in its Section 6AA playoff opener.

Hopkins is ranked 24th in the state by Minnesota Scores, and the Millers are ranked just two notches higher at 22nd. Hopkins plays in the highly competitive Lake Conference, where they finished fourth out of five teams. Washburn is the current  Minneapolis City Conference champion. Obviously, both teams compete in Section 6AA.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default”][vc_column_text][toggles] [toggle title=”Washburn Millers Varsity Roster” color=”Accent-Color” id=”b1″]
